We have heard for these few years about what has been called a tsunami of the Lord’s anointing, and we have geared up to receive this blessing. This is true for our parish family at large, as well as the eldership, and most of the individuals who make up our parish family. What an exciting walk with the Lord God today!

But there is also a warning given alongside this announcement of the anointing: the enemy doesn’t like it, and his goal is to interrupt, to deter, to avoid, to cancel, or to prevent the faithful from entering into the anointing. He is ruthless in his efforts to make sure we miss this tremendous blessing. BEWARE HIS THRUST!

Allow nothing to interfere with your praising God for his ministry to your life. Read this account of the dangers in Acts 12.23-24: Immediately, because Herod did not give praise to God, an angel of the Lord struck him down, and he was eaten by worms and died. If every result was this quick in coming; we’d get it!

But for most of us the dangers are very slow in coming when we fail to praise God—we just begin to die spiritually. God is not ever defeated! The passage then concludes: But the word of God continued to increase and spread. The enemy will never stop his attacks, but we do not have to be subject to his influence. Do know that he is out to destroy you spiritually! PRAISE GOD IN THE FACE OF SATAN!
