It is a difficult thing to completely rely on the healing power of God in this modern day of very highly skilled professionals and extremely high-tech instruments and procedures for fixing our bodies. It seems much easier just to believe that God gifted these people in order to establish his healing in our lives. I have come to discover that even the most learned and skilled professionals in the healing arts are often astounded at some aspects of healing in the human body. They are even amazed at what happens.

That is particularly true for that one who has no concept of healing other than what medical science has devised. Life was simpler in the days when Jesus walked the earth. If you read both Saint Mark and Saint Luke on the healing of the woman with the issue of blood, you find a diversity of opinion even then. Mark says that she wasted all of her money on physicians, and Luke (the physician) says that nothing could be done for her.

Jesus did not rely on those things, and he left the Apostles his understanding of healing, and we read in Acts 3.16: ‘By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong.’ Here was a man who was born crippled, but who had faith to believe and to receive the healing he needed. And what a healing he got! Everyone was amazed at this one!

But Saint Peter nailed it down for all present: ‘It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through him that has given this complete healing to him, as you can all see.’ What I know is that even the most advanced healing techniques in use today are yet subject to the Name of Jesus! We can witness the power of the Lord in our own ministries when we declare in faith–BE HEALED IN JESUS’ NAME!
