This servant may be so far off the reservation so as to be beyond redemption, but I am continuing to have a great deal of difficulty with those who really believe that this world is an accident of some kind or other. Let your minds run over the solar system and you will see an infinitely precise plan for the interaction of planets and stars visible to us.

I have previously shared my awe at how the mind of science can predict and plan a move within nanoseconds of time, and it always works. What is clear to this servant is that there is nothing random about the “worlds” about us. The Apostle Paul writes to the Christians in Greece about the role of God in all of this, and I unabashedly agree with it.

Paul writes of the God of creation in Colossians 1.17: He is before all things. What this simply means is that God was before all of this was! We believe that it is this God who brought all of this into being with predictable precision and beauty. God spoke and the universe before us was—that is the fact! Any other formula breeds total disorder.

Paul puts the lid on all of this as verse 17 concludes: and in him all things hold together. God did not go home after he spoke. He entered into his new order to make sure it became all he wanted it to be—even to the taking-on of flesh to hold it together. I DELIGHT IN BEING HELD TOGETHER BY GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST!
