One of the greatest surprises I ever had in my walk with Jesus was the first time I was given the privilege of seeing something no one else could see. I remember it as if it occurred moments ago, and I dare say I will never forget that experience. I am fully aware of the fact that the whole thing had little to do with my value at all.

It was startling to know that I could clearly see the answer to the situation at hand, and I was stunned that everyone didn’t see it. Moses presents that very situation in Genesis 41.15-16: Pharaoh said to Joseph, ‘I had a dream, and no one can interpret it.’ There was no solution to the puzzle until I saw it in my spirit.

When one is faced with this sort of a dilemma there is a grasping at anything which could provide at least a clue—if not the entire picture. Moses shares about the king of Egypt doing exactly that: ‘But I have heard it said of you that when you hear a dream you can interpret it.’ He was desperate for an answer—from anyone—even from a slave!

Pharaoh had to know what his dream meant, and Joseph knew that the God of Israel could tell him exactly that. He puts things in their proper perspective as he responds: ‘I cannot do it,’ Joseph replied to Pharaoh, ‘but God will give Pharaoh the answer he desires.’ If we have things in right order in our walk with the Lord, he can and will use us to demonstrate his love to the world. If you are willing, HE CAN AND WILL USE YOU TO BLESS OTHERS!
