It is an amazing thing to me that God would entrust the working of his Kingdom on earth to the likes of you and me. In the best possible scenario it seems to be a silly thing to do—knowing you and me as well as I do. But he goes even further than that—he has determined not to do anything we will not facilitate for him.

Listen to how God handled this situation in Exodus 40.33b-35: And so Moses finished the work. Then the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. God would not enter the Tabernacle until Moses had completed all the requirements laid down for him to do.

Why is this important? God has determined that he will bless whatever we choose to do. That means we have total freedom in terms of how we live our lives, and if we opt to live without God’s input—he will bless our choices. But if we want God’s personal and deep involvement in that life, it must be done according to his direction and in keeping with his will for us.

When God moves into our lives everything changes, as this word continues: Moses could not enter the Tent of Meeting because the cloud had settled upon it, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. God will honor us with his presence so we can no longer screw up what we have agreed to do! Let us finish the task so that God will not only bless our work, but enter into it with us! LET US LABOR ON WITH GOD!
